TFLTA!

It's been a wonderful TFLTA conference, as always. We missed those of you who weren't able to join us. Phillip Easterly started us off on Friday by leading a roundtable of new ideas (the photo is a game for  vocabulary practice), then Horst Kurz introduced us to new ideas for using Struwwelpeter. Beverly Whitt and I (Jana Engle) led a session on using pop music in class to wrap up Friday's sessions. On Saturday Raluca Negrisanu presented ideas for using You Tube and social media in class, then we held our annual TN-AATG business meeting, which continued into lunch. Lots of great ideas and discussion, and that's just the German sessions!
Many thanks to all who shared in sessions and I hope all attendees enjoyed socializing with our colleagues and Christmas shopping in the vendor room!

Frühlingsfest 2015!!

Vielen Dank to Sewanee and Richard Apgar for agreeing to host Frühlingsfest 2015! The date will be March 7th and the format will be a variation on Frühlingsfests of the past. We'll be asking teachers to volunteer to be in charge of an event, so if you'd like to organize/run an event, come to the business meeting at TFLTA to be involved in the preliminary organization. Check this space after TFLTA (Nov.8th) for more info!

TFLTA 2014 and the TN-AATG business meeting

Hopefully many of you will be joining us for the annual TFLTA conference next Friday and Saturday in Franklin! As always, we have a great lineup of German sessions. You can see the "Conference at a Glance" here. We will have our TN-AATG business meeting during the 11:15 session and it's time once again to elect new officers. Let's have a good turnout for our nominations and elections! If you are not able to attend and have questions or business for the meeting, you can contact our president Kurstin Bush or simply leave a comment on this post.
